Figure C
Crafter Renee Sparks demonstrates how to create a decorative pot rack by cutting the legs off a wrought-iron table.

Materials:

hacksaw with new blade
old wrought-iron table
large dowels
metal paint
paintbrush
epoxy
chains
"S" hooks

Steps:

  1. Use a hacksaw to cut the legs off an old wrought-iron table.

  2. Cut large dowels to fit inside the table, and space three inches apart.

  3. Mix green and black metal paint (figure A). Use a dry-brush technique to paint a faux "aged" finish on the table and chains (figure B).

  4. Glue dowels into place with epoxy (figure C).

  5. When dry, attach chains to the corners of the table and hang from the ceiling with "S" hooks.
