Years of neglect have taken a toll on this Queen Anne Victorian cottage. David Jerome, designer and contractor, set out to restore the original charm of the once-handsome cottage.

He rebuilt the staircase using Victorian-period hand-turned spindles, and added period-style corbels to reinforce the large bay window. He also painted the house, using a palette of soft colors that let the structure of the house shine through.

For a final touch, he added a weathervane to the top of the tower.
