Another project for Laura stems from a love of collecting twigs and flowers, which she uses to make fairy furniture that’s perfect for children’s dollhouses.

Materials:

dried flowers
twigs
silver thread
glue sticks
hot glue gun
scissors

Steps:

1. Cut 12 straight twigs each four inches long.

2. Hot-glue seven twigs together lengthwise to form the seat of the fairy bench.

3. Glue 1-inch twig pieces on each end of the bench seat (figure A).

4. Glue long flowers at 90-degree angles to each end of the remaining five straight twigs to form the back of the bench.

5. Glue the back to the seat at a 90-degree angle leaving 1 inch to form leg (figure B).

6. Glue 1-inch twig pieces to the bench to create front legs (figure C).

7. Glue 1-1/2 inch cross piece twigs to the bottoms of legs (figure D).

8. Wind silver thread around all joints and knot (figure E).

9. Attach dried flowers to each end to create arms (figure F).

10. Trim legs to ensure bench sits evenly.
