Suzan Germond spent 12 years in college attaining her PhD in art history, making it ironic that her success in mosaics was anything but planned. She had been an art teacher in California; however, once she moved to Texas she found those positions few and far between. Germond decided to take a mosaics class to occupy her spare time. She loved it and began making some of her own pieces for fun. She received an amazing response from people who saw her mosaics and has since abandoned the idea of teaching art! Her reverse mosaic technique makes her chairs smooth to sit on and are unique and colorful.
