Steps:1. To create the card base, cut a piece of 8-1/2" x 11" card stock in half so you have a piece 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (figure A). Using a bone folder, score a line down the center (vertically) and crease. The card will be approximately 8-1/2" x 2-3/4" (figure B).
2. For the matting, cut strips of card stock 8-1/2 inches long and 1/4 inch narrower than your finished card for the bottom layer, and then 1/4 inch smaller than each previous mat for the rest of the layers (figure C).
3. After you've cut your last mat, cut a strip of the watercolor paper 1/4 inch smaller than the top layer of your matting.
