Materials:
two sheets of Folded Memories Heart paper - # 5306
one sheet of royal blue card stock
one sheet of pink card stock
one sheet of red card stock
liquid adhesive
scissors or paper cutter
circle template or circle cutter
paper towel or toilet paper tube
stamps and ink or personal computer
notch corner paper punch
Steps:
Invitation (figure A)
* This project was created used a personal computer for the lettering. Stamps can be used as well. If using a computer, be sure to print the message before cutting the paper to size.
1. Follow the steps for folding the "Layered Triangle" using Folded Memories Heart paper in full size squares, image right side up (figures B, C and D).
2. Cut the blue card stock in half. Fold one piece in half for a standard size card and save other half for the next project.
3. Cut a piece of the red card stock to 4" x 5-1/2". Punch each corner with a notched punch. This piece reads "You're invited" across the center bottom, either stamped or printed on computer.
4. Using a template or circle cutter, cut a section of pink card stock into a 3-3/4-inch circle.
5. With adhesive, mount the folded element to the circle. Mount the circle to the red matting. Mount the red piece to blue card (figure E).
Place card (figure F)
1. For this project, we used a PC for the lettering. Stamps can be used as well. If using the computer, be sure to print the name before cutting the paper to size.
2. Follow the steps for folding the "Layered Triangle" using Folded Memories Heart paper.
3. Trim squares from the right and bottom to 1-3/4-inch squares, image right side up.
4. Trim the remaining blue card stock to 5-1/2-inch squares. Fold in half
5. Trim a section of pink card stock to 2-1/4" x 5".
6. Using adhesive, mount the folded element to the left side of the pink card stock.
7. Mount the pink card stock to the blue card stock.
Napkin ring
1. Follow steps for folding the "Layered Triangle" using Folded Memories Heart paper.
2. Trim squares from the right and bottom to 2-1/2-inch squares, with the image rotated to the right side.
3. Cut a section of paper towel tube to 3/4 inch.
4. Cut a strip of pink card stock to 1" x 8".
5. Using adhesive, wrap the paper towel ring with the pink strip of card stock.
6. Mount the folded element to the ring and insert a napkin.
