Carol's crew takes a trip to see Christalene Loren, a professional paper mache artist, who sells her crafts for hundreds of dollars. Then, back at the studio, Carol shows how to make paper mache bowls and boxes.

Steps:
  1. For the mold, take a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap and petroleum jelly.
  2. Apply three to five layers of paper by alternating newspaper and typing paper with wallpaper paste or mixture. To create a mixture, Chistalene combines four tablespoons of flour with one cup of cold water in a saucepan. Mix well and then add one cup hot water. Bring mixture to a boil, let cool to the touch, and your paste is ready to use. After use, let bowl dry.
  3. Paint the bowl with artist gesso and sand lightly when dry.
  4. Paint or top with tissue paper layers.
