Steps: 1. Cut six patterned paper strips with a paper trimmer.
- Cut four wide strips to cover the sides (two for the front and two for the back)
- Cut two thin strips for decoration (one for front and one for back) (figure A).
2. Cut the top piece of the lunchbox by flipping the lunchbox over and placing it on top of a piece of decorative paper.
- Trace around the top of the lunchbox (figure B).
- Cut out the piece of paper and place it on top of the lunch box and pinch the paper around the handle to form an indentation in the paper (figure C), marking the location of the handle.
- Cut out the paper so it will fit around the lunchbox handle with a craft knife and cutting mat (figure D).
3. Cut five lengths of coordinating ribbon long enough to go around the lunchbox recipe box.
4. Run all paper and ribbon items through an adhesive machine.
5. Attach the wide pieces of paper to the lunchbox, back pieces first (figure E) and then the front section of the lunchbox. Attach the narrower pieces of patterned paper to the lunchbox (figure F), again attaching the back pieces first and then attaching the front pieces of patterned paper to the lunchbox front. Cut the paper around the latch of the lunchbox with a craft knife (figure G).
6. Attach the top piece to the lunchbox being careful to not tear the paper as you work it around the lunchbox handle (figure H).
7. Adhere a piece of ribbon to the top rim of the lunchbox. Adhere another piece of ribbon to the edge of the lid of the lunchbox (figure I).
8. Attach another strip of ribbon below the latch. Attach the fourth piece of ribbon where the patterned paper seam shows to conceal the paper seams and edges.
9. Attach the last piece of ribbon around the bottom edge of the lunchbox.
10. Cut several 2-inch strips of ribbon to tie on to the handle area of the lunchbox (figure J).
