Carol and guest Christy Feke create T-shirt animals using instructions from a McCall's Creates publication. First, Christy displays several different animals that can be constructed using the McCall's instructions, including a dinosaur, a lobster and an alligator. Then she demonstrates a step-by-step method for creating the dinosaur by wrapping the T-shirt with the wire from the pattern (figure A).

Painting and decorating the "animals" makes a terrific avant-garde pattern on the T-shirt which can be visible when the creation is disassembled, wire removed, etc. In light of this, Carol and Christy recommend making two animals when giving them as gifts so that the receiver may have a T-shirt to wear and an animal to display.
