However, one nonprofit organization in Miami has established a program devoted to building and maintaining permanent housing solutions. Residents are required to pay 30 percent of whatever they earn as rent and many pay their way by helping with building maintenance. Several residents, neighbors, and program personnel share their thoughts on the program.
