Steps:
  1. Clean the floor thoroughly with soap and water. Coat with shellac -based primer and let dry completely. Apply a base coat of porch and floor enamel (figure A). Cut-in around the edges, and then roll out the center area. Put on two coats if necessary.
  2. Add dimension by dipping a whiskbroom in paint and dab off the excess. Splatter as desired onto the flooring by wiping a paint stir stick across the broom (figure B). Avoid drips each time by first doing this on a newspaper. Use as many colors as desired for speckles.
  3. Cover with three coats of matte latex polyurethane for protection when finished (figure C).
