Materials:
Aquabond White
Venetian Gem (Amethyst and White on White)
Aquacolors (Iridescent Blue, Iridescent Violet, Iridescent Green)
Venetian plaster blades (stainless steel trowel blades)
220-grit sandpaper
Steps:
1. Apply two base coats of White Aquabond and let dry completely.
2. Put a little Amethyst Venetian gem on the plaster blade to apply a tight skim coat. To do this, put the product onto the surface, and then scrape it smooth with the blade held at a 90-degree angle.
3. Apply a second skim coat of Amethyst. While still wet, apply a texture coat using the same material. To do this, put a little plaster on the blade; hold it almost parallel to the surface, and then use light pressure to drag it across the surface so the plaster comes off in a random hit/skip pattern. The raised areas should only be 1/16 of an inch or so above the surface. Let dry.
4. Sand the surface so it's very smooth and remove dust.
5. Mix an equal amount of Amethyst with White on White Venetian gem.Apply this as a tight skim coat over the texture coat as in step 2. Let dry.
6. Apply another tight skim coat of 100 percent Amethyst. Let dry.
7. Apply the Iridescent Blue in a tight skim coat using the plaster blade. Let dry.
8. Apply Iridescent Green as in step 7 and add Violet while it's still wet. Let dry.
