Whole-House Fan

Fix It Up! : Episode FIX-325 -- More Projects »
Pat and Jodi begin this project by talking about how to choose the proper fan for your house. It is important that the homeowner has a fan with a proper cfm rating. They also cover finding the proper location for the fan. These are normally located in a hallway and attached between two joists or top of a joist. With the location decided, they begin cutting the hole for the fan.

With the hole cut for the fan, Pat and Jodi frame the opening and mount the fan onto the joists. The fan is attached, and they run power to the fan. Back downstairs, they attach the shutter panel to the ceiling and test the fan.
