Virtual Makeover

Landscape architect Nancy Driscoll begins the virtual makeover by replacing the colonial-style front door with a craftsman-style door. The new door gets a polished, antique bronze handle and knocker.

She replaces the metal-framed windows with larger ones framed with wood casements. The front terrace posts are changed to thick, solid redwood posts that are distressed with ball-peen hammers or chains to give them texture. Finally, Driscoll adds shade to the front walkway by adding larger trees.
