Curb Appeal : Episode CRB-404 -- More Projects » Architect Anna Scheidegger continues her transformation of Bob Cullinan's home with a computerized virtual makeover. She starts by giving the home an elliptical second-floor addition surrounded by glass. Scheidegger then moves the stairway away from the wall and allows it to meander through the landscape, and completes the stairway with rope railing and wood-plank steps to match the home's facade. Lastly, she places larger soffit (the underside of a structural component, such as a beam, an arch, a staircase, or a cornice) lamps all around the structure. The second story's shape, along with the new stairway and lights, all contribute to the home's nautical theme.
