In order to overcome zoning restrictions she alters the present roof instead of raising it. Cratsley creates a salt box front gable and adds two extra bay windows, both of which provide the extra space the couple requested. To add further colonial touches to the home she extends the front porch with a Doric column and attaches two weathered brick chimneys.
