Built in 1785 by George Washington's friend and attorney, Philip Fendall, this house is a consummate example of Alexandria, Virginia's early domestic architecture . The house was remodeled from a Victorian to the Greek revival style in 1850. The Lee-Fendall house operates as a historic museum that features splendid gardens and exhibitions of dollhouses and miniature architecture.
