Room Makeover

Pat and Jodi begin this project by painting the paneled walls. After washing the walls, they fill cracks and holes with spackling compound. Once it's dry, they sand the surfaces until smooth. A coat of primer and then two coats of paint complete the walls. New paint on the dreary bookcase also updates the room.

Pat and Jodi go to work on the floor next. A thick, worn dark linoleum covers the floor, adding to the dark feeling of the room. Pat and Jodi talk about flooring options and then install new carpeting.

New doors complete the den makeover. This den has closet space with outdated metal doors opening into the storage space. New sliding wood doors give a more modern look to the room. Pat and Jodi cover how to properly remove and replace closet doors.
