Materials
Caron Rainbow Dreams yarn: Maritime 597 worsted-weight yarn
beads
head pins
jump rings
lobster claws
knitting needles, US size 8 or 9
yarn needle
scissors
round-nose pliers
long-nose pliers

Cast on 68 stitches (or number needed to fit your own chair).
Row 1: Knit through.
Row 2: Pearl through.
Rows 3 – 23: Choose a stitch pattern (for this project I picked a checkerboard pattern) and work at least 4 stitches (gauge 4 sts = 1 inch) per square. Work at least 10 rows then reverse the pattern.
Row 24: reverse the pattern again and work at this at least 40 rows.
Row 64: reverse the pattern again and work 10 rows.
Row 74: work 3 rows in pearl to give additional support to chair back.
Row 77: Bind off.
Fold one end over and using the yarn needle and yarn, stitch this end closed. Leave an opening at the top for the rod to be put in. Do the same for the other end.
Place onto chair and put in rods.
To finish the chair, just add the removable dangles.

Removable Dangles
String a small bead, a large bead and another small bead onto a 1-1/2" head pin.
Form a loop (to form loops, use the round-nose pliers to bend the end of the wire into a loop). Repeat five times.

Use the long-nose pliers to open the jump rings and attach the dangles to the lobster claws. Set aside.
